Auch wenn Suzuki vielleicht nicht so viel Arbeit in die Entwicklung der V-Strom gesetzt hat, wie die Konkurrenz in Reiseenduros, kann die Suzuki diesen Umstand zu ihrem Vorteil ausnutzen. In einer Welt mit umfangreichen Elektronikpaketen steht sie im Modelljahr 2019 noch sehr puristisch dar, einzig das Kurven-ABS deutet Innovation an. Viele Kunden wünschen sich ein einfaches Motorrad und genau diese Zielgruppe spricht die V-Strom 1000 an. Ihr kerniger V2 versprüht endlosen Charakter und ist dank jahrelanger Erprobung ein kugelsicherer Begleiter.
